Audience and Goal
This User Guide addresses itself to panel builders and technicians whose job it is
to check the wiring of input/output modules installed on a L
to manually override the modules in order to directly operate and check
corresponding field devices.
It also addresses itself to those technicians whose job it is to set up parameters /
monitor the status of / procure diagnostic information on Compact ACU (air-
conditioning unit) controllers installed on a L
Using Honeywell's XILON Handheld Tool for Wiring Checks (henceforth referred to
simply as "XILON"), these tasks can be easily performed by a single individual with
no knowledge of L
Windows™.
XILON was originally conceived as a powerful tool capable of performing a much
wider range of complex tasks. However, the goal of this User Guide is to familiarize
the reader only with XILON's basic operation and especially with those functions
which have been designed specifically for checking terminal assignment/wiring and
overriding modules.

A glossary is provided at the end of the guide to explain the terminology.
