XILON HANDHELD TOOL - USER GUIDE
Edit NID (or <F4>)
I/O Functions
All Automatic
Honeywell Properties (°C or °F)
EN2B-0214GE51 R0503
Once the user has confirmed the usage of the "Edit NID" function, the
corresponding menu is displayed and, after pressing the <ENTER> key, the user
can enter the Neuron Chip ID.
This function enables you to perform wiring checks on Honeywell modules (e.g.
Distributed I/O modules and/or Excel Smart I/O modules) and to set up the
parameters of / monitor the status of / procure diagnostic information on Compact
ACU controllers.
XILON currently supports the following nodes:
Honeywell Distributed I/Os (XFL521 and XFL521B, XFL522A and XFL522B,
XFL523 and XFL523B, as well as XFL524A and XFL524B),
Honeywell Excel Smart I/Os (XFC 2A05, XFC 2A06, XFC 3A04, XFC 3A05,
XFC 3A06, XFC 2D05, XFC 2D06, XFC 3D04, XFC 3D05, and XFC 3D06),
and
Compact ACU ZAC800-651-50.
NOTE: Not every output supports every characteristic, e.g. an analog output
supports either voltage or current. Float always requires two relays, this
option is therefore selectable only if a second relay is available. Some
characteristics are not available as network variables. These values have
to be calculated by XILON on the basis of the available values. The
temperatures can be displayed either in degrees Celsius or degrees
Fahrenheit. This can be set up in the Honeywell Properties dialog.
The "All Automatic" function enables you to switch back and forth between the
automatic and manual (reset) modes of Excel Smart I/Os, only. Distributed I/O
modules do not support the automatic/manual mode. In the event that you select a
Distributed I/O module, a changed value is valid only until another device (e.g. an
XL500 CPU) sets a different value.
You can switch digital outputs and analog outputs back and forth between the
"automatic" and the "manual" modes using the <ENTER> key.
NOTE: The mode and value can also be changed using LonMaker for Windows if
you write to the correct NV. An I/O which is set to the manual mode is
fixed until it is changed using XILON or until any other tool/device writes
on the override NV.
NOTE: If an output is set to the manual mode, the Neuron Service LED will flash
three times.
When set to "°C", XILON displays all temperature values in Celsius. Using this
function, all temperature values can be switched to the Fahrenheit scale.
NOTE: The screens shown in this User Guide are examples and may differ
slightly from the screens visible on your XILON.
