Why doesn't my XILON react to user input?
If your XILON no longer reacts to user input., i.e. if your XILON's display shows a
normal text or graphic, but the display does not change, you should consider the
following possible causes:
The application program is waiting for particular input.
Please refer to the description of your software application. Typically, this situation
can be remedied by entering either ESC (to escape from / interrupt the previous
condition / action) or ENTER (to confirm the previously inputted entries). Under
some circumstances, it may be necessary to use the SHIFT key in order to select
the desired dialog.
The application program is in an unexpected state in which no further entry of input
is possible.
Your XILON has "crashed." Reset your XILON by depressing the reset switch
located on the left-hand side of the device. The reset switch is recessed, and can
be activated only using a sharp implement (e.g. a ball-point pen). After resetting
your XILON, you can turn it back on.
NOTE: Resetting your XILON erases all of the RAM.
Why does my XILON switch OFF automatically?
If XILON's display suddenly goes blank, this means that the device has turned itself
OFF automatically. This probably has one of the following causes:
The automatic switch-OFF mode has been activated.
If the user makes no entries for a certain period of time (which can be set by the
user), XILON switches itself OFF.
The rechargeable battery is dead.
If the current supplied by the rechargeable battery drops below a certain level,
XILON switches itself OFF automatically. This function cannot be deactivated. It
guarantees that XILON will have enough time to save all of the data in RAM before
the battery is completely drained. Furthermore, this function protects the
rechargeable battery from being fully drained.
