There are two ways of switching ON XILON. You can either
•
press the green <START> key or
•
plug in the power supply.
Depending on the history (i.e. whether or not the database is empty), the following
welcome screens appear.

If the database is not empty, the BIOS first calculates the RAM checksum. Fig. 3
depicts the welcome screens which appear if the RAM check succeeds. You can
continue working with the existing database by pressing the <ESC> key. If,
