INTRODUCTION _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
The Honeywell North Primair 700 Series power assisted filtering protective respiratory device (hereinafter RPD) is ideally suited for applications where non-powered air purifying devices are not practical for use or a higher protection factor
is required, but only where the atmospheres are not immediately dangerous to life and health (IDLH). Used in conjunction with approved Honeywell North particle filter and approved Honeywell North respiratory interfaces, the Primair
700 RPD provides respiratory protection against particles (solid and liquid), gas and vapours.
Please read these user instructions carefully before use and follow them while using the breathing device. You shall be authorised to use the Primair 700 only after completion of an appropriate training and by following the local work and
safety regulations. HONEYWELL RESPIRATORY SAFETY PRODUCTS is continuously endeavouring to improve all its products and the equipment supplied is subject to change without notice. Consequently, the information, illustrations
and descriptions provided in this document may not be used as a reason to demand the replacement of the equipment, except as covered under the warranty.
The Technical Support & Customer Service is available to assist you with queries. Visit https://www.honeywellsafety.com/Europe/Contacts.aspx to obtain the contact details of your country/ area support.
LIMITS OF PROTECTION AND USAGE _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
These instructions are for experienced personnel, who are adequately trained and are familiar with usage of a breathing device. Each user must fully read, understand and follow these user instructions before use of the breathing device.
HONEYWELL RESPIRATORY SAFETY PRODUCTS accepts no liability if the recommendations contained in this document are not followed.
1) Failure to follow these instructions and warnings may result in exposure to hazardous materials, exposing the user to the risk of serious injury, illness or death.
2) The RPD provides protection against particles, gases and vapours depending on the selected filter. Use this RPD only with the approved HONEYWELL NORTH filters type P R SL or A2 P R SL certified for the flow of
215 l/min.
3) Never use this breathing device:
• To perform or observe sand-blasting/abrasive-blasting;
• To fight fires;
• In any atmosphere having less than 17% oxygen by volume at sea level;
• In atmospheres where the concentrations of toxic contaminants are unknown, or are Immediately Dangerous to Life or Health (IDLH).
4) Do not use the device with the blower unit switched off. It will not provide any respiratory protection in power-off state. A rapid build-up of carbon dioxide and depletion of oxygen within the respiratory interface
may occur.
5) The pressure in the device may become negative at peak inhalation flow at very high work rates.
6) Do not use where high wind velocities exist. Protection factor may be affected.
7) The device contains electrical parts which may cause an ignition in flammable, consequently do not use the RPD in explosive atmospheres.
8) Do not alter or modify this device in any way. Any alterations or modifications, including painting, affixing labels or using unapproved replacement parts can reduce protection and expose the user to the risk of
illness, bodily injury or death.
9) Use of spare parts, components or accessories other than those manufactured by HONEYWELL RESPIRATORY SAFETY PRODUCTS can endanger the correct system operation, lead to the damage of the device
malfunction and may damage the health of user.
GETTING CONNECTED WITH PRIMAIR PA710CEU ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
The Honeywell North Primair PA710CEU blower unit includes a BLE (Bluetooth low energy) wireless radio that transmits data to Honeywell SafetySuite to help improve Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) fleet management processes.
When powered on, this device continuously emits operational data wirelessly. No personal data is ever transmitted. Wireless data transmission can extend beyond your walls and can be received by anyone with a compatible adapter.
Without proper protection, data can be compromised.
Getting your PA710CEU connected to SafetySuite is easy:
1) Verify that you have a PA710CEU blower. The model number can be found on the back of the device.
2) Visit https://papr.honeywell.com/ to create an account, get all information about the functionalities and download the mobile gateway application.
3) Operate your PA710CEU within range (approx. 6-9m) of any online device(s) running the mobile gateway application.
Only the PA710CEU blower unit contains a BLE radio. The PA710EU does not include this feature and therefore does not transmit data, nor is it compatible with SafetySuite or mobile gateways.
Interference
Other nearby devices may transmit messages that interfere with the PA710CEU and other wireless devices in a network. You should not allow any untrusted transmitters inside the area of location and in its proximity (approximately 50
meters). The range of operation between the PA710CEU and gateway device(s) can be influence by many factors including facility construction, other machinery/equipment in the area, the gateway device itself and interference from
other transmitting devices.
PRE-USE INSTRUCTIONS _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Unpacking
The Primair 700 Series is shipped partially disassembled. Unpack and carefully inspect each component before assembling the RPD.
Inspection
Inspect all components each and every time you put on your RPD, for any wear and tear or damage. If any part is missing, damaged or worn out, replace them or tag your respiratory protective device and remove it from service. Verify that
your RPD is supplying sufficient air.
Check the battery
For safety, the battery pack is not shipped in a fully-charged state. Charge the battery prior to first use. Check that the battery is sufficiently charged before any use.
Check the correct working of the warning device
With the connected breathing hose, installed filter and blower unit powered on, plug the end of the breathing hose with your hand. All three alarms (visual, audible and vibratory) shall trigger in a few seconds if the warning device is
working correctly; read section "Alarms: Reduced air-flow below required minimum" for more details. Verify the correct working of the warning device before any use. Do NOT use the RPD if the alarm is not working properly (read section
"Troubleshooting guide").
