Configuring PIM and PIM6
Purpose
Enables PIM sparse mode on this interface.
The default is disabled.
(Optional) Sets the designated router (DR)
priority that is advertised in PIM6 hello
messages. Values range from 1 to 4294967295.
The default is 1.
(Optional) Configures the interval at which
hello messages are sent in milliseconds. The
range is from 1000 to 18724286. The default
is 30000.
Note Before Cisco NX-OS Release
5.2(1), the minimum value was 1
millisecond.
(Optional) Enables the interface to be on the
border of a PIM6 domain so that no bootstrap,
candidate-RP, or Auto-RP messages are sent
or received on the interface. The default is
disabled.

(Optional) Configures which PIM6 neighbors
to become adjacent to based on a route-map
policy with the match ipv6 address
command. The policy name can be up to 63
characters. The default is to become adjacent
with all PIM6 neighbors.
