Monitoring Operating Status Using the ICIM

Monitored Parameters
You can monitor the status of operating parameters. The table below describes the
monitored parameters for this module.
Parameter
+1_8VInt
+3_3VInt
Las1Inst
LasBias1
LasTemp1
Las1Type
Las2Inst
LasBias2
LasTemp2
Las2Type
ProcTemp
Clk_Src
3-16
Units
Function
V
1.8 voltage level internal to the transmit processor.
V
3.3 voltage level internal to the transmit processor.
0 Inst or
Indicates if transmitter sub-module is installed.
1.0 Inst
0 Inst = not installed. 1.0 Inst =installed.
mA
Laser 1 bias current in mA.
delC
Laser 1 temperature in degrees C relative to its target
temperature
0 or 3
Indicates what type of transmitter is installed.
0 = 1550 nm cooled laser transmitter
3 = Uncooled 1550 nm or 1310 nm laser transmitter
0 Inst or
Indicates if transmitter sub-module is installed.
1.0 Inst
0 Inst = not installed. 1.0 Inst =installed.
mA
Laser 2 bias current in mA.
delC
Laser 2 temperature in degrees C relative to its target
temperature.
0 or 3
Indicates what type transmitter is installed.
0 = 1550 nm cooled laser transmitter
3 = Uncooled 1550 nm or 1310 nm laser transmitter
C
Temperature of the transmit processor in degrees C.
Indpend
Indpend - The transmitter generates the clock signal
Master
but does not send it outside the module.
Slave
Master - The transmitter generates it's own clock
signal and sends it out.
Slave - Uses the clock input supplied from the
backplane, typically from another transmitter in
Master mode. If the clock is not present clock alarms
are generated.
