I Closing the table
A guest check is closed by using the temporary finalization ([NBAL(SRVC)], [Final]) or settlement ([CASH],
[PAYMENT]) operations.
It may be allowed that the server/clerk for the finalization can be different from the one entering orders (by
programming for each revenue center). The guest check data is transferred to the server/clerk for the
finalization.
When the table registration server and table finalization server are not same, then the registration data of
that table is transferred from the registration server to the finalization server (allowed by programming).
• Temporary finalization ([NBAL(SRVC)], [Final])
You can temporarily finalize a guest check by pressing the [NBAL(SRVC)] or [Final] key. It is
recommended to use the [NBAL(SRVC)] key to temporarily finalize a guest check when printing is not
desired and to use the [Final] key when printing the current balance including tax is desired.
The guest check, however, can still have additional orders made to it.
• Settlement ([CASH], [PAYMENT])
When the payment operation by cash/check/charge is performed, the guest check is closed.
You can make a tip-in entry before a tender entry. If a tip-in entry is made, the tip amount must be tendered
by using the associated media key e.g. [CREDIT] for the charge tip and [CASH] for the cash tip.
I Deposit entries
Deposit refers to a prepayment on a guest check. It can be received in cash, check or charge tenders.
You can make a deposit entry only when entering a guest check. It cannot be done during handling of a
tendered amount.
A received deposit can be refunded by touching the [Deposit(-)] key. You cannot attempt to refund an
amount larger than the deposit balance.
