Scheme logic
The scheme logic of the restart inhibit function including the thermal state of rotor
function will be illustrated in Figure 2.28-18. The function can be blocked when a signal
is generated at PLC connection point [Mot-THSR_BLOCK].

Starts per hour function

The starts per hour function counts the number of times the motor has started within one hour,
and the number of times exceeds the certain times then the function generates a signal to block
closing CB in order that the motor shall not start again.
The starts per function can start to operate, when On is set for setting [Mot-STPH-EN].
Judgement the number of times the motor started (Mot-STPH operation)
The upper limit value of the number of times the motor has started within one hour is
determined by the setting [Mot-STPH-Num].
When motor has started, Mot-STPH starts the 1st judgement process and it counts the
motor started number of time as 1. The 1st judgement process continues to count until
one hour elapses
Further, when the next motor started, the 1st judgment process sets the count value as
2 and the 2nd judgement process is started. The 2nd judgement process counts the motor
started number of time as 1 and continues to count until one hour elapses.
Next, the 3rd judgement process is started, and these process will continue.
Then, for example, if the count value reaches the setting [Mot-STPH-Num] in the 1st
judgement process, Mot-STPH operates until 1st judgement process is finished.
In addition, each judgment process can be reset when a signal is generated at PLC
connection point [Mot-STPH_RESET].
Figure 2.28-17 shows a timing chart example about Mot-STPH operation in which 3 is
set for the setting [Mot-STPH-Num].
In this example, the motor has started 8 times in total. In addition, the count value of
motor started has reached 3 times (setting [Mot-STPH-Num]) in the 3rd, 4th and 6th
judgement process. For this reason, "result of judgement" is generated in these
