Control sub-menu

The user can control outdoor devices through LCD screen. Control sub-menu is provided for
the operation. The user can manipulate it by pressing Operation keys. Note that Control sub-
menu is only applicable when the IED is running in "LOCAL" mode†; an error message is
shown on the LCD screen if when the IED is running in "REMOTE" mode. Remember that the
IED can change to "REMOTE" mode itself if the IED does not have local operation for a while;
then, the IED will be monitored remotely. Figure 12.11-1 shows "Control" sub-menu.

†Note: The IED is going to run in "Local" mode, when the LCD screen displays the
following menus: "Main Menu", "Control sub-menu", "Selection Executing",
"Operating completed", "Operating canceled" or "Operating failed".
