Restrictions
In this document, the REACH CR101 NRS is used. When using network recording, note the
following restrictions:

Ensure that:
8.2.2 Adding an NRS on RM
Context
To implement network recording, a new network recording server must be configured in the
existing videoconference system.
Procedure
Step 1 Run the RM Client.
Step 2 Click Recording Management in the navigation tree.
Step 3 Right-click the primary list and choose Add from the shortcut menu to display the Configure
dialog box, as shown in

notification to both the MCU and NRS. The MCU receives the notification and begins
calling endpoints to join the conference.
When the administrator starts recording or live broadcasting from the RM , the RM
sends a message to both the MCU and NRS. The MCU and NRS then transmit
unidirectional video streams to each other.
Users that have been added to the NRS can access the NRS web interface and view the
conference live broadcast.
When the conference ends, the RM sends a conference end notification to both the
MCU and NRS. Then the MCU stops sending video streams, while the NRS stops
receiving video streams and saves the video streams to files.
Users that have been added to the NRS can access the NRS web interface and view the
on-demand conference.
The traversal across public and private networks between the MCU and the NRS is not
supported.
The MCU web interface does not support recording operations and control.
The MCU does not support the recording of 1080i50/60 or 1080p50/60 conferences.
The maximum recording bandwidth per conference is 8 Mbit/s.
The recording bandwidth cannot be higher than the current conference bandwidth.
The NRS and RM are in the same network segment.
The NRS is powered on and operating correctly.
