Note:
For V.24 ports, Jabber timeout (100 s) is available and can be
enabled checking the corresponding checkbox in the monitoring
parameter section of the dialog box.
When enabled, a timer is activated as soon as the DTE starts
sending data. When the DTE transmits data without interruption for
more then 100 seconds, dataflow to the transmission channel is
interrupted, CTS cleared and Jabber Halt Alarm is activated.
This condition is restored as soon as the DTE interrupts
transmission again.
For bit rate ≥ 2'400 bps with NSK600 modem transmission
(DAPSK modem), a transmit delay for data can be configured from
0 to 30 s in steps of 1 s.
This will set a lead time corresponding to configured value for the
modem to allow carrier enabling without loss of data when using
flow control with hardware hand-shaking or within a digital transit
application.

NSK600 modem

Point to Configuration / NSK600 ... to open the dialog box for
configuration of the utilized NSK600 modems. To configure a modem,
select the corresponding tab. To add or remove a modem, refer to
section 5.3.5.1.
On the tab, the following information is displayed: the V.24 port
associated to the modem and the APLC channel it is assigned to.
The following signal settings can be configured with the appropriate
selection of radio buttons, drop down list or checkbox for each
NSK600 modem:

Data Sensitive :
This mode does not require handshaking signals from the DTE
connected to the V.24 port. Dataflow from the TD terminal is
connected to the corresponding transmission channel
independently of its availability.
For NSK600 modem transmission, as soon as data activity is
detected on the port, the carrier on the AF signal is enabled.
Data are buffered until the carrier is available and subsequently
transmitted.
In case of port sharing operation, no collision detection with
other V.24 ports transmitting on the same channel is
implemented.
Dataflow to the RD terminal (to DTE) is always granted.
For datarates ≤ 1'200 bps with NSK600 modem
transmission (FSK modem), data sensitive flow
control is not available.
