Intercharacter, Interfunction, and Intermessage Delays

Some terminals drop information (characters) if data comes through too quickly. Intercharacter, interfunction, and intermessage
delays slow the transmission of data, increasing data integrity.

Intercharacter Delay

An intercharacter delay of up to 65535 milliseconds (in 1ms increments) may be placed between the transmission of each
character of scanned data. Scan the Intercharacter Delay bar code below, then scan the number of 1ms delays, and the
Save bar code using the
To remove this delay, scan the Intercharacter Delay bar code, then set the number of delays to 0. Scan the Save bar code
using the Programming Chart
Note: Intercharacter delays are not supported in USB serial emulation.

User Specified Intercharacter Delay

An intercharacter delay of up to 65535 milliseconds (in 1ms increments) may be placed after the transmission of a particu-
lar character of scanned data. Scan the Delay Length bar code below, then scan the number of 1ms delays, and the Save
bar code using the Programming Chart
