mac address-table static

Use the mac address-table static global configuration command to add static addresses to the MAC
address table. Use the no form of this command to remove static entries from the MAC address table.
Beginning with Release 12.1(11)EA1, the mac address-table static command replaces the

mac-address-table static command (with the hyphen). The mac-address-table static command (with
the hyphen) will become obsolete in a future release.

Examples
This example shows how to add the static address 0004.5600.67ab to the MAC address table:
Switch(config)# mac address-table static 0004.5600.67ab vlan 1 interface fastethernet0/2

no mac address-table static mac-addr vlan vlan-id interface interface-id
Destination MAC address (unicast or multicast) to add to the address table.
Packets with this destination address received in the specified VLAN are
forwarded to the specified interface.
Specify the VLAN for which the packet with the specified MAC address is
received. Valid VLAN IDs are 1 to 4094 when the enhanced software image
(EI) is installed and 1 to 1005 when the standard software image (SI) is
installed. Do not enter leading zeros.
Interface to which the received packet is forwarded. Valid interfaces include
physical ports and port channels.
Modification
This command was first introduced.
The interface keyword and parameters were changed.
The mac-address-table static command was replaced by the mac
address-table static command.
