Cause
The mains supply is not connected or
has failed and the system is using
battery power.
The output power from Power
Management Board reports over or
under voltage condition. The power
supply switched from AC mains to
backup power.
Paw or P-ACGO is greater than Pmax
alarm limit.
Peak airway pressure is less than low
Pmin + 4 cmH2O for 20 consecutive
seconds if the set respiratory rate is
four or higher and 35 seconds if the set
respiratory rate is less than four
breaths/min.
In PCV-VG or SIMV PCV-VG
inspiratory pressure limit is reached.
Water trap is full or sample line may
contain droplets. Water trap is partially
occluded.
EEPROM calibration data read failure. Replace the expiratory flow sensor.
EEPROM calibration data read failure. Replace the inspiratory flow sensor.
Measure O2 is less than 5%.
Flow toward the patient seen in the
expiratory flow sensor during
inspiration for six breaths in a row.
Flow away from the patient seen in the
inspiratory flow sensor during
expiration for six breaths in a row.
RR is greater than high alarm limit.
RR is less than low alarm limit.
Water trap is full or sample line may
contain droplets. Water trap is partially
occluded.
Scavenging flow is too high.
Scavenging flow is too low.
Action
Ventilate manually to save power. Make
sure the power cable is plugged in and
system breaker is on.
Disconnect and reconnect the AC mains
power.
Check for blockages in the patient
circuit.
Checks for leaks in the patient circuit.
Reset the pressure limit setting to an
appropriate setting.
Replace D-Fend water trap and/or
sample line.
Calibrate the O2 cell. Replace the O2
cell if necessary.
Calibrate the flow sensors.
Check valves.
Calibrate the flow sensors.
Check valves.
Set the alarm limits appropriately or
adjust the RR setting.
Set the alarm limits appropriately or
adjust the RR setting.
Replace airway module D-fend and/or
sample line.
Adjust the flow of hospital disposal
system or adjust the scavenging flow on
the anesthesia machine (if applicable).
Contact an authorized service
representative if the problem continues.
Adjust the flow of hospital disposal
system or adjust the scavenging flow on
the anesthesia machine (if applicable).
