The UDI label consists of a series of alpha-numeric characters and barcode which uniquely identify the LOGIQ S8 system as a medical device manufactured by General Electric. Scan or enter the UDI information into the patient health record as required by country-specific laws.

    2-1-1 Purpose of this chapter This chapter provides the information required to plan and prepare for the setup of a LOGIQ S8. Included are descriptions of the facility and electrical needs to be met by the purchaser of the unit.
  • Page 66: General Console Requirements

    2-2-1-1 Cooling The cooling requirement for the LOGIQ S8 is 680 BTU/hr. This figure does not include cooling needed for lights, people, or other equipment in the room. Each person in the room places an additional 300 BTU/hr. demand on the cooling system.

    The LOGIQ S8 is supplied with a main power plug, as standard. If the unit arrives without a power plug, or with the wrong plug, you must contact your GE dealer or the installation engineer must supply what is locally required.

Ultrasound systems also generate EMI. The LOGIQ S8 complies with limits as stated on the EMC label.

    The products involved (and the accompanying electrical installations) are highly sophisticated and special engineering competence is required. All electrical work on these products must comply with the requirements of applicable electrical codes. The purchaser of GE equipment must only utilize qualified personnel to perform electrical servicing on the equipment.
