2. Select Download. Since there are currently no updates for the monitor, a screen similar to the
following appears:
Note:
Detailed instructions will be provided when an update is needed on your Genesis Touch.
Communicating With LifeStream
This screen allows you to:
Verify that communication is available
Retrieve a configuration for a particular patient from LifeStream
Upload the configuration you programmed at the monitor to LifeStream.
Send a vital signs test packet to LifeStream
IMPORTANT: The Genesis Touch can be configured for patient use from LifeStream (recommended) as
well as from the monitor. If you make configuration changes at the monitor, you will be
asked if you want to sync the configuration with LifeStream. If you answer Yes to this
question, the updated configuration will be sent to LifeStream immediately. If you
answer No, the updated configuration will be sent to LifeStream along with the next
vitals packet. In either case, the updated configuration will override the configuration
originally provided by, or pending from, LifeStream
If you made configurations changes at the monitor and do not want the configuration
from the monitor to override the LifeStream configuration, you must answer No to this
question, send a new configuration from LifeStream, and retrieve that configuration by
selecting Retrieve Configuration on the monitor's LifeStream screen. This will cause the
configuration downloaded from LifeStream to override the configuration changes you
made at the monitor.
