Enabling Device Capabilities
Genesis provides the following device capabilities:

Scale Type
IMPORTANT: Whenever you see a black configuration screen, you have the ability to inadvertently
negatively affect the Genesis Touch application by touching keys on the bottom of the
screen. The only button that should be used from that area is the return key (
which allows you to return to the previous screen.
Setting the Scale Type
The Genesis Touch allows you to use either the HomMed/NCI Technologies or A&D scale. After you have
determined which scale will be used for a patient, you must select that scale type to enable it.
This section assumes that you are at the General Settings screen. Refer to Getting to the General Settings
Screen for more information. The password you will need is: 4237.
To enable the monitor to use the appropriate scale:
1. From the General Setting screen, select Device. A screen similar to the following appears:
