TCAM Allocation
STEP 1
STEP 2
Cisco 500 Series Stackable Managed Switch Administration Guide
-
IP Hosts—One entry per host
Non-IP Entries—TCAM entries reserved for other applications, such as
ACL rules, CoS policers, and VLAN rate limits.
If you change the TCAM allocation incorrectly, an error message is displayed. If
your TCAM allocation is feasible, a message is displayed that an automatic reboot
will be performed with the new settings. TCAM allocation can be modified
incorrectly, in one of the following ways:
The number of TCAM entries you allocate is less than the number currently
in use.
The number of TCAM entries that you allocate is greater than the maximum
available for that category (maximum values are displayed on the page).
To view and modify TCAM allocation settings:
Click Administration > TCAM Allocation Settings.
The following fields are displayed:
Reserved TCAM Size—Displays the current number of available TCAM
entries.
-
IP Entries—TCAM entries reserved for IPv4 static routes, IP interfaces,
and IP hosts.
-
Non IP Entries—TCAM entries reserved for other applications, such as
ACL rules, CoS policers, and VLAN rate limits.
-
Total—Displays the number of IP entries and non-IP entries.
Actual TCAM Allocation—Displays the current number of TCAM entries that
have been used and the number still available.
-
IPv4 Static Routes—Displays the number of IPv4 static routes entries
used/available.
-
IP Interfaces—Displays the number of used/available IP interfaces
entries.
-
IP Host—Displays the number of IP host entries used/available.
-

ACL rules, CoS policers, and VLAN rate limits.
To change the TCAM allocation for IP entries, enter the new value(s) in the New
