the indicator on
the smoke
detector is
normal.
Observe the
PWR, RUN, and
ALM indicators.

Standard
indicator blinks
slowly, the
multi-functional
sensor is running
normally.
 The ALM indicator
is off.
The indicator blinks
once every 6 seconds.
(The interval varies
with detectors. See the
product instructions.)
 If the green PWR
indicator is steady
on, the power input
is normal.

If the RUN
indicator blinks
slowly, the rack
environment unit is
running normally.
 The ALM indicator
is off.
4 Routine Maintenance
Troubleshooting
ETH gateway is not
energized. If so,
reconnect the cable.
If not, replace the
cable.
 If the RUN indicator
blinks at short
intervals, check the
communications
cable connection. If
the fault persists,
replace the
multi-functional
sensor.
 If the ALM
indicator is steady
on, clear the alarm.
If the indicator blinks
twice every 6 seconds
or does not blink, the
smoke detector is faulty
or the cables are not
properly connected.
Check the cables or
replace the smoke
detector.
 If the PWR indicator
is off, check whether
the communications
cable is loose or
disconnected or
whether the smart
ETH gateway is not
energized. If so,
reconnect the cable.
If not, replace the
cable.
 If the RUN indicator
blinks at short
intervals, check
whether the
communications
cable is loose or
disconnected or
whether the smart
ETH gateway is
energized.
 If the ALM
indicator is steady
on, clear the alarm.
