5.4.1.10 Replacing Batteries for the Fire Alarm Control Panel

Prerequisites
Spare fire alarm control panel batteries of the same model are available and
functional.

Prerequisites
Tools: protective gloves, step ladder, Phillips screwdriver
Materials: spare fire alarm control panel batteries
Document: fire extinguishing device layout diagram (standard)
Skill requirement: fire engineer
Procedure
Step 1 Switch off the standby power supply to the fire alarm control panel.
Figure 5-47 Positions of the active and standby power switches
Step 2 Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the battery fastening plates.
Do not short-circuit the positive and negative terminals during the operation.
