Step 5 Install the new fire alarm sounder.
Step 6 Switch on the active and standby power supplies to the fire alarm control panel.
Step 7 Check that the new fire alarm sounder is working properly.
Unlock the fire alarm control panel, and press the ALARM BELL key to trigger the fire alarm
sounder.

Follow-up Procedure
Dispose of the removed fire alarm sounder that is confirmed faulty.

5.4.1.9 Replacing the Emergency Start/Abort Switch

Prerequisites
A spare emergency start/abort switch of the same model is available and
functional.
Impact on the System
The fire extinguishing system stops working during the replacement.
Prerequisites
Tools: Phillips screwdriver, flat-head screwdriver, protective gloves
Material: spare emergency start/abort switch
Document: fire extinguishing device layout diagram (standard)
Skill requirement: fire engineer
Procedure
Step 1 Switch off the active and standby power supplies to the fire alarm control panel.
Step 2 Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws from the emergency start/abort
switch, as shown in

Before replacing the emergency start/abort switch, inform the related administration
department of the temporary downtime of the fire extinguishing system. After the
replacement, inform the administration department that the system has become
operational.
