Service Code Setup (for Setup/Entry Operation) - Tandem Ringing
Define a service code to be used to set up Tandem Ringing (Default = No Setting).
Operation
To set up Tandem Ringing:
1.
Press the Speaker key at the extension to be considered the master telephone (optional).
2.
Press the Tandem Ringing key (PGM 15-07 or SC 751: 80).
3.
Dial "1" to set the feature.
4.
Enter the extension number to be considered the slave telephone (the telephone that will ring when
the master extension rings).
A confirmation tone will be heard (if the Speaker key was used).
5.
Press Speaker to hang up (if the key is lit).
While the feature is active, if either the master or slave telephone is on a call, no calls can be
placed or answered at the other extension until the busy telephone has hung up. Multiline
Terminals will indicate "TANDEM IN USE" in the display and single line telephones will hear a busy
signal when the handset is lifted.
To cancel Tandem Ringing:
1.
Press the Tandem Ringing key (PGM 15-07 or SC 751: 80).
2.
Dial "0" to cancel the feature.
