Description
The Electra Elite IPK II system provided branch connection of locally provided facsimile
machines to CO/PBX lines. Additional dedicated CO/PBX lines are not required for a
facsimile to operate. The facsimile share the last CO/PBX line on the COI(4)-U ( ), or
COIB(4)-U ( ) ETU through the Main Distribution Frame (MDF) where the CO line is
connected from Telco.
Conditions

The Electra Elite IPK II systems require a COI(4)-U ( ), or COIB(4)-U ( ) ETU to
connect a facsimile in branch to a direct CO/PBX line.

Connection of the facsimile machine does not require extra system ports.
r
The Electra Elite IPK II systems cannot distinguish between an incoming
facsimile call and a CDO/PBX call. Ringing assignments should be turned off for
fax lines.
r
A facsimile call terminating at the CO/PBX line where the Fax Branch Unit is
connected is automatically answered by the Fax Machine. Delayed Ringing Line
assignment to stations for Fax Branch Line are Recommended.
When the facsimile is in use, the Fax Branch CO/PBX line can be used as an

outside line.
Code restriction does no apply to outgoing calls from the Fax machine.
