It is recommended that cable trays and their supports be installed collaboratively.

Preparations

Tools: marker, hammer drill, torque wrench, claw hammer, ink fountain, and measuring tape

Materials: expansion bolt and cable tray support

Document: external cable tray support layout diagram

Skill requirement: common technician

Procedure

Step 1 Determine the reference points for installing external cable tray supports based on the

installation position diagram for them and the installed containers. Record the reference points

using a marker.

Step 2 Draw the positions for installing external cable tray supports along the reference points on the

installation platform using a measuring tape and ink fountain.

Step 3 Place cable tray supports on the installation platform.



Step 4 Mark the hole positions for installing cable tray supports on the concrete platform using a

marker.

Issue 02 (2017-01-10)

When you place a cable tray support, ensure that the center of the support base meets the

crossing point of the installation reference lines.

Exercise caution when placing and handling cable tray supports because they are tall and

heavy.
