To add an auxiliary control unit to a CTS 1000 with a presentation codec, complete the steps in the
"Adding an Auxiliary Control Unit" section on page 3-2

Configuring an Auxiliary Control Unit

To configure the presentation codec, refer to
software release.

Cisco TelePresence Presentation Codec

The Cisco TelePresence Presentation Codec (CTS-HFR-COLLAB) provides 30 frames per second (fps)
capabilities to support full-motion video presentations between Cisco TelePresence endpoints when
used with an auxiliary presentation display.
You must install an auxiliary display to enable the 30 fps feature. For the list of the auxiliary displays

Plug the power cord for the auxiliary control unit into a power outlet.
Plug the power cord for the light fixture into any of the switched outlets of the auxiliary control unit.
Do not plug the light fixture into the outlet marked "UNSWITCHED."
Place the front panel onto the frame.
Using a #3 Phillips screwdriver, attach the six screws next to the speaker.
Mount the black speaker grille onto the front panel.
Connect the Primary Codec Document Camera Ethernet connection (orange Ethernet connection on
the primary codec) to one Ethernet port of the auxiliary control unit.
Connect the other Ethernet port of the auxiliary control unit to the Presentation Codec Ethernet port
(white/red Ethernet connection on the presentation codec).
