4. TROUBLESHOOTING
Table 4-1 directs troubleshooting of the degassing unit.
If abnormality occurs, reference should be made to this table.
Table 4-1 Troubleshooting of Degassing Unit
Possible Cause
a. Power supply to the pump or
system power supply unit is not
turned on.
b. The power cord is not plugged
in.
a. Aspiration speed is too high.
b. Tube joint is loose.
c. Solvent filter is clogged.
d. An excessive negative pressure
is caused because of solvent
position.
e. Solvent replacement is
inadequate.
a. Tube joint is loose.

d. Flow path is contaminated or
clogged.
a. Turn on power supply to the
pump or system power supply
unit.
b. Connect cords securely on both
main unit side and power supply
side.
a. Use a flow rate of max. 5 mL/min
for solvent replacement, and
max. 3 mL/min for analysis.
b. Tighten the joint adequately with
hand.
c. Wash the solvent filter.
d. Position the solvent container at
the same height as the
instrument.
e. Carry out solvent replacement
adequately.

unit and the tubes adequately.
Particularly, if precipitation of salt
can be presumed, wash
