the stabilizers and the backhoe arm to full extension
and that the machine and the attachments are clear of
obstructions.

Preparing to Install the
Attachment onto the Traction
Unit

Procedure
1. Park the machine on a level surface.
2. Lower the attachment(s) to the ground.
3. Turn off the engine and remove the ignition key.

Install the hydraulic-pressure and
hydraulic-return hoses.

Install the controls cover and the panels.
Bleed the hydraulic system.

Lubricate the stabilizers.

Connecting the Backhoe Wiring
Harness to the Machine
1. Remove the left- and right-side panels and the nose
panel; refer to the traction unit Operator's Manual.
2. Rotate the battery disconnect to the Off position; refer
to the traction unit Operator's Manual.
3. On the backhoe wiring-harness, locate the branch of
the harness that has a 1-pin connector, a 1-socket
connector, and a 2-pin connector
