Boom Swing Control Lever

Use the remote engine shutoff control knob to stop the
engine when you are in the backhoe operator's seat.
•
Push down on the control knob to stop the engine
(Figure
44).
•
Pull up on the control knob before re-starting the engine
(Figure
44).
Note: The engine will not start if the control knob is not
pulled up in the Reset position.
Swing-Lock Pedal and Boom-Lock

Swing-Lock Pedal
Use the swing-lock pedal to lock the boom, the dipper, and
the bucket to the transport (straight forward) position
45). Use the swing-lock pedal to unlock the swing lock after
transporting the machine or before operating the backhoe.
•
To lock the swing lock, move the pedal down, rearward,
and then up.
•
To unlock the swing lock, move the pedal down, forward,
and then up.
