Unlocking the Boom Lock
1. Push the boom control forward
1. Boom control forward
2. Boom-latch handle
rearward
2. Pull the boom-latch handle rearward
3. Pull the boom control rearward; the backhoe will move
out of the transport locked position
Important: Always operate the backhoe while
seated in the backhoe operator's seat.
Locking the Boom Lock
Note: You must lock the boom, the dipper, and the bucket
before you can safely transport the backhoe. Refer to
Unlocking the Swing Lock (page
1. Rotate the bucket up (crowded in) completely; refer to
Controlling the Dipper and the Bucket (page
2. Retract the dipper (crowded in) completely; refer to
Controlling the Dipper and the Bucket (page
3. Pull the boom/swing control rearward
Note: The backhoe boom will move toward you (past
the vertical position).
