Installing the Hydraulic Actuators
Note: The weight of each cylinder is 31.6 kg (69.6 lb).
1. Attach the hydraulic actuator to the backhoe as follows:
A. Ensure that the stabilizer is resting on the foot
pad.
B. Insert a pin (1-1/4 x 8 inch) through the upper
bushing in the forward plate of the backhoe frame
(Figure
20).
Note: Allow the pin to extend about 25 mm (1
inch) beyond the bushing.
1. Snap ring (1-1/8 inch)
2. Pin (1-1/4 x 8 inch) partially
inserted into the forward
plate
3. Bushing
4. Cylinder fitting
C. Slip a bushing (from the kit) over the short
segment of the pin
D. Align the mounting holes of the cylinder fitting
(near the hydraulic port) of the hydraulic actuator
to the pin (1-1/4 x 8 inch), and move the pin
through the mounting holes
Note: Ensure that the hydraulic ports of the
cylinder are positioned upward.
E. Continue inserting the pin through the cylinder
fitting
(Figure
Note: The actuator should be partially supported
by the pin.
F. Align a bushing (from the kit) between the rear
mounting hole of the cylinder fitting and the
bushing in the back plates of the backhoe

G. Continue inserting the pin through the bushing
and the bushing in the back plates of the backhoe
(Figure
20).
2. Attach the hydraulic actuator to the stabilizer as follows:
A. Insert a pin (1-1/4 x 6 inch) through the pivot
point of the stabilizer
