7.12.3

Provision Add/Drop Port Connections

Step 1
Provision an ADD connection between a PIL1-3PS2 edge port and the L100 client port.
Command:
% set port-connection PORT-ADD src-shelf 3 src-slot 1 src-subslot 0 src-port E1
dst-shelf 1 dst-slot 0 dst-subslot 0 dst-port C1
Step 2
Provision a DROP connection between the L100 client port and a PIL1-3PS2 edge port.
Command:
% set port-connection PORT-DROP src-shelf 1 src-slot 0 src-subslot 0 src-port C1
dst-shelf 3 dst-slot 1 dst-subslot 0 dst-port E1
Step 3
Repeat the preceding steps for each ADD/DROP connection to be provisioned.
Step 4
Provision pass-through connections between two CD ROADM degrees.
Commands:
% set port-connection PASS-THRH-1 src-shelf 2 src-slot 0 src-subslot 0 src-port C2
dst-shelf 1 dst-slot 0 dst-subslot 0 dst-port C2
% set port-connection PASS-THRH-2 src-shelf 1 src-slot 0 src-subslot 0 src-port C2
dst-shelf 2 dst-slot 0 dst-subslot 0 dst-port C2
Continue with the next task.
Additional Instructions:
Perform the same procedure for each pass-through connection to be provisioned.

Provision Cross-Connects

Step 1
Provision a DROP cross-connect from an OCH on an edge port of an L100 Blade to a client port on a PIL1-3PS2
PIU.
Command:
% set fabric och-connection XCON-DROP src-if ots-2/0/0/E1 src-och 1 dst-if
och-3/1/0/C1
