Flush mounting
When flush-mounting the control head, allow at least 2½ inches of
clearance at the rear for the cables and connectors. For the recommended
flush-mount drilling dimensions, see Figure 3 below. For the full-size
version of these flush-mount installation measurements/instructions, see
the Northstar 961/962 Control Head Flush-Mounting Template, Front View
(part number GT1800), included in the 961/962 shipping carton.
When flush-mounting, be sure to mount the head on a flat
surface. Mounting on a curved surface can distort or break the
plastic and cause a breech in the waterproof seal—invalidating
the warranty.
Be sure to provide adequate ventilation, especially if the system is
installed in a poorly ventilated or closed area. Poor ventilation will cause
the head to overheat, which in turn may cause the display screen to
darken.
