Northstar 2201 is a self-contained, high-performance GPS
antenna/engine that also receives WAAS differential correction
signals. The 2201 will ship with a complete installation manual.
There is no WAAS capability for 941 units containing the
NAVCORE GPS 5-channel engine.

New WAAS options

WAAS capability adds several new options to the 941, including
the following (for details, see the respective sections below):
WAAS and AUTO options for differential operations
WAAS or W indicator on several 941 screens
Hexagonal WAAS satellite designators on GPS SATS screen
Remote power-on of the Northstar 2201 WAAS Pod (future)
WAAS and AUTO options
On the RECEIVER OPTIONS screen, the former DGPS OPERATION
field is now called DIFFERENTIAL OPERATIONS. This field
formerly supplied only two options, "ON" and "OFF," but now
provides two more options, WAAS and AUTO, to accommodate
WAAS capability:
WAAS (new) - to use WAAS differential corrections.
AUTO (new) - to use WAAS differential corrections
preferentially; that is, the 941 will automatically switch to
radiobeacon differential corrections if WAAS becomes
unavailable and if the 941 contains an internal beacon
receiver or is connected to an external one.
DISABLED (the former "OFF") - to use no differential
corrections.
RADIOBEACON (the former "ON") - to use radiobeacon
differential signals if the unit has an internal beacon receiver
or is connected to an external one.
