WAAS designators on GPS SATS screen
On the GPS SATS screen, circles indicate GPS satellites, and
hexagons have now been added to indicate the WAAS satellites.
Remote power-on of the Northstar 2201
Software version 3.18 features a remote power-on option that
automatically switches on an external Northstar 2201 (available
in the future) after it has been connected to the 941.
To set the remote power option:
1. Press the STAR key to display the ALARMS & BACKLIGHT
screen. Press the CURSOR PAD to highlight the HONK
OUTPUT field, then press the EDIT ALARM menu key.
2. Press the CURSOR PAD to select REMOTE PWR, then press
the ENTER key.
3. Press the STAR key to display the USER CUSTOMIZATION
screen, then press the PORT SETUP OPTIONS menu key to
display the PORT SETUP OPTIONS screen.
4. Press the CURSOR PAD to highlight the RS232 SETUP
option, then press the EDIT menu key. Select EXTERN GPS,
then press the ENTER key.
