1.1.3 Side Guide Lock

The machine's size guide is equipped
with a side guide to prevent it from opening
wider than A4/A3 size (297 mm).
If the original is larger than 297 mm, the
side guide lock may be disengaged to ac-
commodate an original width of up to 305
mm.
1) Loosen the screw [1], and free the side
guide lock [2].
Be sure to adjust the side guide
to the original before making a
copy. Otherwise, the original
will tend to move askew.
