1.1.4 Adjusting the Separation Belt Pressure

If originals tend to move askew because
of wear on the separation belt or the feed
roller in the field, adjust the pressure of the
separation belt.
Be sure to perform the following adjust-
ments when replacing the separation belt or
the feed roller:

1) Prepare a test strip for measuring the
feed power: cut an A4 or LTR sheet of
paper (64 or 80 g/m
of about 70 mm, attach a length of tape
to both edges of the strip, and open a
hole.
