CHAPTER 2 OPERATIONS AND TIMING
Caution:
EX:
10 originals are
placed on the
original tray.
[2]
When a jam occurs, the host copier knows how many originals it has copied. It sends the
information to the machine so that the machine may forward the originals that have been
copied and start placing originals that have not been copied on the copyboard glass. It is im-
portant to remember that the copying sequence will be affected unless the number of origi-
nals is the same both before and after jam removal.
In the case of error [1] above, the machine and its host copier will stop operation and indi-
cate the presence of a fault; in the case of error [2], however, they continue to operate, re-
quiring care.
2.10.1 Resetting
The machine may be reset by removing all originals from the original tray. Some host
copiers indicate a message. Be sure to check the message and follow the instructions, if any,
to correct the placement of originals.
