Outboard Rigging Guide - 2001
Sensor Placement & Installation
1. Locate the sensor after the filter and before
the primer bulb (if equipped) or engine.
FUEL FLOW SENSOR LOCATION
ON/OFF FUEL VALVE
OR ANTI-SYPHON VALVE
2. Place the sensor with the "UP" mark facing
upward.
NOTE: Make sure the sensor is mounted so the
fuel flows in the right direction.

SEAL THREADS WITH
TEFLON TAPE OR
EQUIVALENT
PRIMER BULB
3. Use a fuel joint that has a 3/8 inch diameter or
larger hose nipple.
4. Secure all fuel hose ends with a good quality
stainless hose clamp. These are not supplied.
Rigging Notes:
A. Make sure to install the fuel flow sensor
between the engine and the fuel filter
(refer to the illustration).
B. On twin-engine installations, make sure
the multifunction speedometer, fuel man-
agement gauge, and GPS are connected to
the same key on power source.
C. If a fuel primer is used, install it between
the fuel sensor and the engine. All connec-
tions should be tight and all lines free of
air. Any air leakage in the fuel tank pickup
or sensor lines and connections will cause
incorrect readings.
D. If the fuel line is used for a kicker supply,
make sure to install a shut-off valve in line
or sensor ventilation could occur.
