Release the parking brake if engaged.
3.
To adjust the brake, remove the rear access plate
and remove the cotter pin and washer from the
brake lever (Figure 110) and remove the trunnion
from the brake lever (Figure 110).
4.
Push the brake lever towards the rear of the
tractor and hold (Figure 110).
5.
Rotate the trunnion so it smoothly slides into the
brake lever hole.
6.
Secure the trunnion to the brake lever with the
washer and cotter pin.
7.
Check the brake operation again.
IMPORTANT: With the parking brake
released, the rear wheels must rotate freely
when you push the mower. If brake action and
free wheel rotation cannot be achieved, refer
to the Tuff Torq® K-61A Transaxle Service
Manual, Form Number 492-0699.

Foot Control Adjustment Procedure

If there is not enough ground speed in reverse and too
much in forward; or, too much in reverse and not
enough in forward, adjustment can be made to correct
this.
1.
Measure the distance between the footrest and
the back of the forward/reverse control pedal.
There should be 1¼" (31.74mm) gap (Figure 111).
