Front Wheel Toe-in Adjustment

1.
Remove the tie rod from one steering arm.
2.
Loosen the jam nut securing the ball joint to the
steering rod. Rotate the ball joint one turn:
clockwise to increase toe-in; counterclockwise to
decrease toe-in (Figure 10).
IMPORTANT: If more than one turn is required
to meet specifications, alternate between the
right and left steering rods to maintain
steering wheel alignment.

Hold flats on the ball joint to align with the flats on
the tie rod and tighten the jam nut (Figure 11).

4.
Install the ball joint to the steering arm and check
the toe-in as described in the measurement
section (Figure 12).

Removal

1.
Disengage the PTO. Set the parking brake, and
turn the ignition key to OFF to stop the engine.
Remove the key.

Raise the front axle by putting a jack under the
side you are removing the wheel or spindle from.
