Selecting an IGMP Version

The Dell Networking OS enables IGMP version 2 by default, which supports version 1 and 2 hosts, but is not
compatible with version 3 on the same subnet.
If hosts require IGMP version 3, you can switch to IGMP version 3.
To switch to version 3, use the following command.
Switch to a different IGMP version.
INTERFACE mode
ip igmp version
Example of the ip igmp version Command
Dell(conf-if-te-1/13)#ip igmp version 3
Dell(conf-if-te-1/13)#do show ip igmp interface
TenGigabitEthernet 1/13 is up, line protocol is down
Inbound IGMP access group is not set
Interface IGMP group join rate limit is not set
Internet address is 1.1.1.1/24
IGMP is enabled on interface
IGMP query interval is 60 seconds
IGMP querier timeout is 125 seconds
IGMP max query response time is 10 seconds
IGMP last member query response interval is 1000 ms
IGMP immediate-leave is disabled
IGMP activity: 0 joins, 0 leaves, 0 channel joins, 0 channel leaves
IGMP querying router is 1.1.1.1 (this system)
IGMP version is 3
Dell(conf-if-te-1/13)#

Viewing IGMP Groups

To view both learned and statically configured IGMP groups, use the following command.
View both learned and statically configured IGMP groups.
EXEC Privilege mode
show ip igmp groups
