Installing the Toolbox and Player Software

Installing Toolbox and Player software places two shortcuts on your PC desktop:
• Toolbox icon
• Player icon
Note You must be logged in to the operating system with administrator privileges
to install the Toolbox and Player software. Also, all additional users should be
logged off.
To install the Toolbox and Player software on your PC:
1. Close all running Windows applications.
2. Remove any existing BusView applications. See
Software, page 30.
3. Insert the CD-ROM supplied in your HTRD400 System Administrator kit into the
CD-ROM drive on your PC. Follow the Installation Wizard instructions to complete the
software installation.
If the Installation Wizard does not start automatically:
a. From the Start menu, select Run.
b. In the Open field, enter X:\Setup.exe where X is your CD-ROM drive. You can also
click Browse to find the Setup.exe file on your CD-ROM drive.
c. Double-click the Setup.exe file to start the installation.
d. Follow the Installation Wizard to complete the installation.
Caution We recommend that you do not abort the installation process after file
copying has started.
Note Windows 2000 only: If this is a first time installation, you may be prompted to
reboot your PC.
4. To verify a successful installation, double-click the Toolbox icon on your desktop to
start the Toolbox application.
If you accepted the program defaults during installation, you can also start the
Toolbox application by clicking Start on the Windows taskbar and then selecting
