Moving a PC From a Corporate Network to a Stand-Alone
HTRD400 Recorder

Caution
If you set a static IP address, ensure that you return to your original
network settings before you reconnect the PC to your corporate
network. The typical setting for a corporate network with DHCP
services is "Obtain an IP address automatically", as illustrated below.
To move a PC or laptop from a corporate network to a stand-alone HTRD400 Recorder:
1.
Ensure that you log off the corporate network or turn off the PC.
2.
Physically disconnect the PC from the network.
3.
Connect one end of a CAT5 Ethernet crossover cable to the PC and the other end to
the COMPUTER port on the front panel of the HTRD400 Recorder (see
4.
If the HTRD400 Recorder is not already awake (POWER LED is solid green when
awake), briefly press the POWER button on the front panel.
