Moving a PC From a Corporate Network to a Stand-Alone
HTRD400 Recorder

Caution If you set a static IP address, ensure that you return to your original
network settings before you reconnect the PC to your corporate
network. The typical setting for a corporate network with DHCP
services is "Obtain an IP address automatically", as illustrated below.
To move a PC or laptop from a corporate network to a stand-alone HTRD400 Recorder:
1. Ensure that you log off the corporate network or turn off the PC.
2. Physically disconnect the PC from the network.
3. Connect one end of a CAT5 Ethernet crossover cable to the PC and the other end to
the COMPUTER port on the front panel of the HTRD400 Recorder (see
