This appendix:
Describes four basic "canned" configurations provided by Honeywell to aid you in
setting up your system. You can load and modify these configurations to suit your
needs and then upload them to your HTRD400 Recorder. It is recommended that
you save your new configuration as a new file to help you with your next recorder.
Provides a step-by-step procedure to set up your system to use a factory-set
configuration.
A single camera is mounted on the ceiling at the front of the bus looking back.
The camera name is Main.
When the bus is started, the system records from this camera at 15 frames (images)
per second at better (middle) quality and QVGA resolution.
Audio is set to record.
The HTRD400 Recorder continues to record for five minutes after the bus is shut off.
There are six status indicators. Connect the following wires on the eight-wire harness as
follows to maintain correct labeling:
Ignition – connect the White wire to the ignition wire that is 12 volts when the
bus is running.
Brakes – connect the Brown wire to a line that is 12 volts when the BRAKES are
applied.
R Turn – connect the Black wire to a line that is 12 volts when the RIGHT turn
signal is applied (typically the flasher unit).
L Turn – connect the Green wire to a line that is 12 volts when the LEFT turn
signal is applied (typically the flasher unit).
Warn – connect the Red wire to a line that is 12 volts when either the AMBER or
RED lights are on.
Stop Arm – connect the Blue wire to a line that is 12 volts when the STOP ARM
is out.
