3. Autopilot Power Up
The autopilot master switch should be in the off position when
the engine is started. After starting the aircraft engine, the autopilot
master switch can be turned on at any time. The autopilot software
version is displayed for a few seconds after power is applied, but it is
not necessary to hold the aircraft stationary during the power up
sequence. Autopilot type and software version is shown in figure 3a.

Note: Before using the autopilot, an altimeter sync should be
completed. See section 6.1 for altimeter sync instructions
