9.2 Connection, Replacement and Retrofit of Compo-
nents
The different ATEX approvals are only valid for the DL230 device at the
time they leave the company (ex-works). In order to retain the validity of the
approvals, modifications to the DL230 are not allowed or are limited to only
a few cases.
The table below lists all permitted actions and states how the device can be
connected as well as under which conditions components can be replaced
or retrofitted.
When replacing or retrofitting the power supply unit it is necessary to have
an individual certificate for each DL230 and this must be returned to EL-
STER.
In accordance with the ATEX approval guidelines, the manufacturer is
obliged to record the complete history of each device.
