7.12 Soft Keys

The soft key functions may be reconfigured, and the duration time of the soft
key icon display, after a key is pressed, can be changed.

Key Assignment

1. Press and hold the [MENU/SET] key.
2. Press the [▲]/[▼] key to select "CONFIG", then press the [SELECT] soft key.
3. Select "KEY SETUP" with the [▲]/[▼] key, then press the [SELECT] soft key.
4. Select "ASSIGNMENT" with the [▲]/[▼] key, then press the [SELECT]
soft key.
5. Press the [▲]/[▼] key to select the key number to be programmed, and
press the [ENTER] soft key.
6. Press the [▲]/[▼] key to select a new func-
tion to be assigned to the soft key, and
press the [ENTER] soft key. Available func-
tions are listed below.

Display
HI/MD/LO Selects transmit power.
DW/TW Turns dual or triple watch scan ON/OFF.
MEMORY Add or remove channels from memory channel scan.
SCAN Turns the scanning function ON/OFF.
PRESET Programs or deletes the preset memory channel.
STROBE Turns on or off the strobe light LED.

Key Timer

1. Press and hold the [MENU/SET] key.
2. Press the [▲]/[▼] key to select "CONFIG", then press the [SELECT] soft key.
3. Select "KEY SETUP" with the [▲]/[▼] key, then press the [SELECT] soft key.
4. Select "KEY TIMER" with the [▲]/[▼] key, then press the [SELECT] soft key.
5. Press the [▲]/[▼] key to select the desired
time, and press the [ENTER] soft key.
