Noaa Weather Alert Testing - Standard Horizon HX210 Owner's Manual

After stopping the beep sound, the weather
alert reception confirmation screen will appear.
Press any key to display a confirmation screen.
The confirmation screen will ask you whether
to move to the weather channel or return in the
marine channel. Press [YES] to switch to the
weather channel, or press [NO] to return to the
marine channel.

7.7.2 NOAA WEATHER ALERT TESTING

In order to test this system, NOAA broadcasts the 1050 Hz tone every
Wednesday sometime between 11 AM and 1 PM local time. You may use
this opportunity to test your transceiver periodically to confirm that the
Weather Alert feature is working, or for training crew members on how to
configure the transceiver to receive the NOAA Weather Alerts.
