6. CONTROLS AND INDICATORS

6.1 CONTROLS AND SWITCHES

This section defines each control of the transceiver. For detailed operating
instructions, refer to section "7. BASIC OPERATION". Refer to the below
illustration for the locations of the following controls, switches, and con-
nections.




ANT Jack ( Top Panel )
The supplied CAT460 flexible antenna is attached here.
PTT ( PUSH-TO-TALK ) Switch ( Left Side Panel )
When pushed activates the transmitter.
SQL Switch
Press this key to SQL adjustment.
Secondary use:
Press and hold this key to open the squelch, allowing you to monitor the
operating channel. Press the key to resume normal (quiet) monitoring.
